sh2-131: elephant trunk nebula

Here is my SHO processed image of the elephant trunk nebula. It took me over two weeks to capture this due to an unusually large dust cloud that crossed the atlantic from the sahara desert and then a series of storms in the southeast USA.

Here is a look at the Ha, Sii, Oiii data gathered after stacking, registration, and a dynamic background extraction:

This was my first narrowband image using my ZWO ASI1600MM Pro. I used PixInsight to do some light processing of the raw data and a pixel math operation to combine the channels into the false color image. Big thank you to Nico from NebulaPhotos.com for his tutorial.
